We are drafting a position statement with options-solutions. We want to hear about your vision and experiences!
Outline:
Science is interaction between people. People $/hr >> infrastructure costs.
Our needs are collaboration, preservation of raw data for re-analysis and verification; existing services (e.g. from library) will be able to be integrated
Modern requirements for centralized storage, backup, network, sharing: 500TB per lab, 10GbE minimum, 1-2-3, options like fast flash storage, “share as link” worldwide etc.
